Hey girls!

Even though the last few days have been really nice, sunshine, nice temperatures, no rain... nevertheless it's still winter and temperatures might go down again and have their effect on our skin and especially our faces.

Lately when I touch my face, I don't get a smooth, silky feeling and this bothers me. At places my faces was a little flaky, for example where I had suffered from an acne 'outbreak'.

So I decided to try something out and it worked wonders!

All you need is the following:

- towel
- a cup of water
- a toothbrush (unused)
- a day cream, serum, face mask, nourishing mask

My toothbrush had hard bristles, I would suggest to buy one with medium hard bristles cause well we want to clean the face, not damage it.
If you only have a hard bristle toothbrush, don't rub too hard.

Ofcourse, start with removing your make-up completely.

After that, dip your toothbrush into the warm water and start somewhere on your face. It doesn't matter where you want to start.

Make circular movement all over your face and stick the toothbrush back into the warm water every now and then.

After you have moved all over your face and no longer see any dead skin flakes and your cheeks have a nice red glow you are ready to wash your face, to be sure you get all the icky stuff off.

After that, dry off and apply your daily face products or if you really want to pamper yourself, put on a nourishing and hydrating face mask, add two cucumber slices and just chill for 15 minutes while dreaming that you are chillaxing on the beach in some tropical paradise...
A tip: You could also use a electric toothbrush or you could of course buy the clarisonic facial cleaner but this is a little outside of my budget so i'll stick to my normal little toothbrush.
After you are finished, you will feel refreshed, the circulation in your face will have had an extra boost and your skin will look fresh and dewy and will feel silky smooth!

What do you girls think?

Hey girls!

Today I want to show you a few new eyeshadows I have bought this week.

Shame on me, I don't remember the name of the shop where I bought it.

But I suspect this brand can be found in many shops in the Abdijstraat in Antwerp since I bought it there. It was a shop I had previously never entered so I did not pay attention to the name of the shop.

I had seen this brand before but did not expect much of it so I never bothered to buy any to try them out. Now there were some testers and to my surprise they quality seemed to be really good.

The colors were nice as well but not really what I usually go for. As you all know by now, my go-to look leans more towards natural nude colors but the pigmentation of these shadows was just amazing so I decided to try a few shades which I did not yet own.

As you can see, I chose 5 color that really differ from each other.
The shades didn't have names, only numbers.
I bought: number 3, 6, 8, 10 and 11.

I swatched them for you and you will see what I mean with great pigmentation! It's crazy and all of this for €1,50 per shade.

I still need to create some looks with them and wear them throughout the day, to see if they are also durable or if they fade after an hour.
An update will follow later on ;)

Now, check out the swatches! Click on the pictures for a closer look!

Number 3
: white

Number 6: purple

Number 8
: lime green

Number 10: brown
Number 11: greyish blue
My favorites are the purple, the lime green and the greyish blue shades. I just love how pigmented they are! And they aren't colors I would usually buy so I'm pleased with my purchase, it's a nice addition to what I already have.
Which shade do you like best?

Hey girls!

When I went to Kruidvat yesterday I noticed Catrice had a bunch of new polishes at their stand and they looked gorgeous!

Catrice renewed all of their nail polishes, one a little more than the other and added a few new colors to their selection.

They state the folllowing on their website:

Thanks to the new Gloss Booster technology, the next generation of Ultimate Nail Lacquers is extremely convincing with a high-shine finish, perfect coverage and ultra-long durability. With the innovative reservoir brush, you can colour your nails with just one stroke. Free of formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates.

Tested and loved: 9 out of 10 women love* the perfect COVERAGE, ultimate SHINE and long DURABILITY.
* Consumer test with 100 women, 2013
I bought the colors 37 The Effect Maker and 36 Mint Me Up.
The polishes have a real pretty pearly shine and just look gorgeous.
I usually go for nude, pink or red colors so it was no surprise I chose The Effect Maker.

Mint Me Up, on the other hand, is a color I would not usually buy. I think the mint color is nice and I love how it looks on other girls but I'm always afraid to wear it on my nails.

But this color looked so nice with that pearly shine and little tiny glitters in it so I couldn't resist.

Take a look at the swatches.

Hey girls!

Today I want to share a cool make-up storage products with you.

A while ago I ordered the BH Cosmetics Bag and I think it's a great way of storing your make-up goodies.

It's also perfect for when you are traveling or on the go.

Let's take a look at it!

The bag has 2 large compartments: the lower one to stash your palettes and other goodies and top one to store your brushes and smaller items.

You can see the top compartment in the picture below.

I just love how it has this special space where you can put all your brushes and they stay pretty, clean and organized. It just looks fancy!
Next to the brush area, there is a little side compartment with a zipper and see-through netting so you can store smaller items in there and still have an overview of what exactly is in there.

The lower compartment of the bag is one big open space to store palettes, foundations, etc

What I love about it, is the size: it fits my Naked Palettes perfectly! I can never go on vacation without one of them so I am always struggling to find the perfect storage, which I have now found! It even fits my Luxbeauties 72 color eyeshadow palette!

Take a look at how much it holds!

Hey chicas!

As I told you a few days ago in my review of the Urban Decay Naked Palette 1, I had been contemplating buying the second one.

Well since I'm not rich and 50$ is still a lot of money, I decided to wait...

Until i discovered a website called DHgate.com and after looking around a bit, I found the Naked Palette 2 (UDNP2).

After looking at the seller's pictures of the item and reading the reviews I decided to go for it with suspicion in mind.

Why you ask? Well, the Naked Palettes are being sold on this website for $10 a piece. The first thing that popped into my mind was: "This cannot be real". But I decided to risk it and test it out.

First a little more information about DHgate:

DHgate is a wholesale website like Ali-express and such, it's kind a wholesale 'E-bay'. A Chinese E-bay, which was my second marker that these products could be fake.

DHgate works the same as E-bay, but the only difference is that when you order something and pay for it with Sofort ( which seems to be the only payment method available for Belgium), you don't pay the seller: you pay DHgate.

Then you wait and this can take a while! I had to wait almost 4 weeks before my arrived. After you receive your order you can check it out and see if everything is how it should be, etc.

After this you go to your account on DHgate and press 'complete order'. At that moment DHgate sends your money to the seller.
I think this is great, it was a big element in persuading me to order from this website because this guarantees buyer safety.

The full information on how the website works, can be found on Dhgate.com

Now back to our palette!

When I opened my package, I could not believe my eyes.
The packaging, the box, the information on the box, the metal tin the eyeshadows came in,..... It all looked original!

The hoarder I am, I still had the plastic packaging of my Naked Palette 1 (which I KNOW is original and genuine). So I started comparing.
I could not find any mistake!

So I started believing I had actually bought a real Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 for $10!

Then I opened the tin and saw the eyeshadows:

The consistency looked different than those from my Naked Palette 1 and when I started swatching them, I was sure: this was a fake.

This palette contains: 4 matte and 8 shimmery eyeshadows.

Matte:          Foxy, Bootycall, Tease and Blackout
Shimmer:     Half Baked, Chopper, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK                             and Busted.

From the swatches below you will see that the matte shades are not of a very quality. Although I have to admit that when I was applying it to my eyelids the quality was quite alright. Ok, you have to dab your brush in a little harder than in the others, but that's it.

I have never really been a 'Matte Eyeshadow' enthusiast, so I don't really mind these aren't of the best quality.

The other 8 shimmery colors ARE of good quality. Maybe not 100% Urban Decay quality but still great! Look at the pigmentation in the swatched below, it's unbelievable!
To get these swatched I just put my finger on the eyeshadow and pressed down once and that's it! So the pigmentation is awesome!

I absolutely love the shades: Chopper, YDK and Busted. They look so pretty!

I have been trying to wear them during the day and they last quite long, especially when you apply an eyeshadow primer first. I didn't notice any difference with the the shades of the UBNP1 concerning staying put all day long.

Even though, this product is a fake, I'm quite pleased.
2/3 of the eyeshadows are very pigmented and long lasting and well, just absolutely gorgeous!

Is this products for you?
Are you looking for a palette like the UBDN2 but don't want to spend $50 on it? You don't mind that it's not the original palette? Then YES

Will you only be satisfied with the original palette? Do you want those exact colors? Then NO
( I can't guarantee the colors will match 100% with the original UDNP2).

How did I know for sure it was a fake, you ask?
This palette has one color that is also included in the Naked Palette 1 of which I own the original. I lined both of them up and found out the colors don't match 100% but are close. See for yourself below:

Left: Naked Palette 1 (original)          Right: Naked Palette 2 DHgate version

Would I order again from DHgate?

+
I am pleased with the product (even though it is not a genuine Urban Decay)
Cheap price
Good costumer service
Buyer protection payment system
Free shipping

-
Product is fake ( they say it comes straight from the brand factory :s )
The sellers are often Chinese, so they don't speak English well.
(Costumer service does speak English well and react fast!)
The waiting period: 11 - 27 days
The mailing system: My order got mailed with HongKong Post and I could         not track it at all.
Most sellers make you order 10 - 20 -50 pieces of palettes etc, I don't like         that, but if you follow the link below, you end up with the seller I                 bought my product from and he sells big quantities and single pieces.

It seems like I was not pleased with my purchase, but I am, I just had a few minor issues and I did not know how exactly the website worked in the beginning, which caused me to be confused.
You just have to see what you like or if you want to order or not. I'm just sharing the experience I had :)

To visit the shop of the seller I bought my palette from, click here!

Look created with shades: Foxy, Booty Call, Chopper and YDK.
What do you girls think about this product?
And about DHgate?

Hey girls!

Today I want to talk about one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes ever: the Urban Decay Naked 1.

I bought it about 2 years ago when I went on a trip to London with my mom.

The palette is a little pricy: I paid £30 for it which is about 50$, I think, but I haven't had a moment of regret!

The palette is just awesome, super pigmented and a little goes a long way!

When I bought the palette, it came with a double sided eyeliner pencil in the colors Zero and Bourbon. It also included a miniature Urban Decay Primer Potion.

The palette consists of 12 different shades: 2 matte and 10 shimmer.
I swatched them for you guys, so check it out:

Aren't they gorgeous?

The two matte colors are Naked and Buck. I don't use these colors as eyeshadows but more for contouring my face, so it's nice when you are traveling or you don't have to bring an extra set for contouring.

My two most used colors are the very first two: Virgin and Sin. They are just lovely! I have been using them on daily basis for months and they are still about 2/3 full.

Well, all the colors look amazing actually, and the pigmentation is crazy!
I just pressed down my finger on the eyeshadow, I didn't rub, just pressed down: and what you see on the pictures is the result.

With Urban Decay, a little truly goes a long way!

I like that the palette has more neutral (naked) colors but also a few darker ones such as  Gunmetal, Creep and Hustle. That way you can still intensify or darken your look, for example when going from day to night make-up after work or for a special dinner date.

It's a very versatile palette and it's quite small in size so it's possible to take it with you on the go for touch-ups. However, the eyeshadows are very long lasting and stay put for hours. If you combine the eyeshadows with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, touch-ups won't be necessary!

After my experience with the Naked Palette 1, I have been considering buying the Naked Palette 2 as well, but we'll talk about that at a later date :)
Where can I find this palette?
It's not available in Belgium, but in the Sephora in Maastricht ( NL) it is available or you can always order online from e.g. :
http://www.beautybay.com

What do you guys think about this product?
Would you buy it?

Aloha chickies!

Today I wanted to share 2 products I had my eye on when Essence announced they would be available this month:

the Vintage District  duo lipstick and gloss in the color Antique Pink

and the Vintage District Blush named 01 It's Popul-art.

I was a little late noticing this trend edition had actually come to Kruidvat already so a number of products of this limited edition had already been plundered. In the first shop I visited I only found the other lipstick/gloss and the eyeliner sealers which I did not really want to try out.

The blush was the one thing I really just wanted to have, I mean how could you not just want to have this? It looks absolutely gorgeous! So I was disappointing when I found out I was too late.

A week later I visited another Kruidvat and guess what? They had both the lipstick/gloss I wanted and one last blush! In the end I did get this little treasure!

It just looks so pretty, I don't even know if I'm going to use it as make-up, I just want to put it somewhere I can look at it. :p

Doesn't this just look gorgeous? I'm afraid if I'll use it I will ruin it! But nevertheless, I did swatch the different colors for you girls.
I have also tried out the lipstick and the lip gloss separately for you girls:
Lipstick
Lipgloss
From the duo lipstick and gloss, I really like the lipstick, it's a soft pinky color and it looks quite nice on me. The gloss on the other hand, I don't that much. It looks a little 'orangy' and well I just don't like the way it looks without anything under it. Maybe combined with a darker lipstick or lipstain it might look nice.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with these 2 products, but with some elements more than others.

Have you girls bought any products of this limited edition? Which would you like to own?

Where can I buy these products?

Temporarily at Kruidvat in Belgium and the Netherlands ( but probably as good as sold out by now)

Price?
I think I paid 3,99€ for the blush
and 2,99€ for the duo lipstick/gloss
