Hoi meisjes!

Prijs?
€0,49 (!) dus echt een koopje! Een echte aanrader!

Wat vinden jullie van dit lakje?

Hey girls!

Ever since the Essie brand started being sold in Kruidvat, I have had my eye on them. The only thing stopping me was the high price tag.

When you can get a decent nailpolish for €2 or €3, the Essie polishes just are a little too expensive for me, costing €11 a piece.

Now 2 weeks ago, my cousin found this great deal on Essie products on Bol.com and we decided to buy some. You could buy 3 nail polishes for €20 so that's about €6,50 per polish, which is a much better price.

My cousin chose Guchi Muchi Puchi and Lavender:

I chose Bahama Mama:

I had been looking for a purple shade of nail polish for a long time and this one looked like the color I had in mind.

The color is really pretty but even so, I'm not completely satisfied with it.
To get this color I had to apply 3 coats. Your €11 bottle will be empty fast if you always have to apply 3 coats!

Another element I was not pleased with was the coverage: the polish stays thick in some places and much lighter in other places which of course does not look nice.

The durability, on the other hand, is good. I have been wearing this polish for 4 days now and it has not started chipping yet. I did apply one coat of see trough top coat nail polish.

Even though the color is pretty and the polish stays on the nails for quite some days, I had expected more of Essie.

I keep finding gorgeous pictures on the internet of Bahama Mama covered nails, but I can't get my nails looking that gorgeous.

So would I buy another Essie polish in the future?
If it is on sale and if it is a color I really love, I might.

Have you girls bought an Essie polish yet?
What is your opinion about it?

Hey girls!

A while ago I reviewed the Urban Decay Naked Palette for you. For the people who like the color Sin, I have some good news!

Catrice brought out a few new eyeshadow colors in their Intensif'eye wet & dry shadows.

One of those eyeshadows is called 100 Glamourose which is a soft pink color. The shadows can be used both dry and wet.

The dry version is not that great but if you wet your brush a little, the pigmentation is awesome!

The  wet color reminded me of the color Sin in the Urban Decay Naked Palette 1, only a little more pink. But it comes close.

So for the girls who are interested in buying this Urban Decay shade, Glamourose of Catrice comes close and costs just a fraction of the Urban Decay shadow.

Check out the swatches:

Left: Urban Decay Virgin
Middle: Urban Decay Sin
Right: Catrice Glamourose (wet)
As you can see the middle and the right color resemble each other very much. Of course the color won't be 100 percent the same but if you are looking for a nice dupe of this more expensive eyeshadow Glamourose of Catrice will do the trick.

Where to buy it + Price?
The Catrice shadow is sold at Kruidvat for the price of €3,89

Hey girls!

Lately I have really started to love colored eyeliners.

Throughout the years I have collected a few but I haven't really used them much mostly because I did not really know how to use them.

Yesterday I bought 4 new ones in Kruidvat and I want to share them with you. Plus I'll add those I already had also.

The majority of my coloured eyeliners are from Essence. They are creamy, have a lot of color and a creamy texture. Plus they are really cheap! I think I bought them for €1,50€ a piece.

I also own 1 Nivea and 2 Catrice eyeliners.

(Click on the pictures for a closer look!)

Let's start of with the first 3: (from top to bottom)
- Essence 11 Go Wild
- Catrice 090 Gold Me Tight!
- Essence 12 I Have a Green

The next 3:
- Catrice 080 Wildthing
- Essence 09 Cool Down
- Essence 05 C'est La Vie!

And the last 3:
- Nivea 08 Khaki
- Essence 08 Touch of Glam
- Essence 06 Seventh Heaven
As you can see the pigmentation is really good and they stay put quite long. When I tried to remove them of my hand, I had to get a make-up remover tissue cause they didn't completely want to disappear.

My favorite colors of the moment are : I Have a Green, Cool down, Touch of Glam and Gold Me Tight!

Now the only thing left to do, is figure out some nice looks with these gorgeous colors!

Where can you find them?
Essence and Catrice are sold in Kruidvat
Nivea can be found in Kruidvat and most department stores.

Price?
The Catrice ones I bought on sale this week for €1 each
The Essence liners cost around €1,50 a piece
The Nivea liner I got as a gift so I don't know the price exactly.

Do you girls use colored eyeliners?

Hey girls!

Last night I decided to try out a new color of nailpolish: green!
I had recently bought it but hadn't tried it out yet and I have to say I'm pleased with the result!

I'm wearing Walk on the wild side (nr 139) by Essence.

What do you girls think?

Hi girls!

As I have received many compliments on my hair lately, I wanted to share one of my beauty secrets: hair oil!

I discovered hair oil for the first time while I was in Egypt with the hubbie. His sisters were putting it on their kids hair and I got curious about it and decided to buy me a bottle.

There are many different brands and purposes of hair oil: for example you have hair oil for thicker hair, better growth, more shine, less hair breakage, etc. But i usually go for the one that smells the best. I mean, the oil will do its work and it will always have a good effect, but I'd rather walk around smelling great instead of smelling horrible.

Picture

My first hair oil was the Dabur Vatika Coconut Hair Oil.

It contains coconut for making the hair thicker and stronger, rosemary which prevents hair loss and vitamine E to nourish and soften the hair.

It's specialty is Volume and Thickness of the hair.

I did like this products and this is the one that got me hooked on hair oil products, but I got tired of the smell after a few months so I wanted to try out something new.

When I went to my 'henna - guy' here in Belgium, I discovered he also offered a whole range of hair care products including hair oils and I decided to try one from another brand.

Picture
I bought the Tara Amla Hair Oil for about €2, but as soon as I applied it the first time I regretted my decision: it smells horrible!

When I came home and showed my hubbie what I bought he said: "oh nooo, not this one, it smells so bad!"

And he was right. I applied it once but after that, it has been sitting in the back of my closet, untouched. On the net I do find many people who like it but I have only tried it once so I can't say anything about the effectiveness.

It contains: Light mineral oil, Amla extract, UV filter, Anti-dandruff agent and Perfume.

On a new visit to Egypt, I decided to try out another Vatika hair oil.

Picture
This time I bought the Dabur Vatika Cactus Hair Oil and i just love it!

It made my hair super soft, super shiny and super nourished. Plus, it smells heavenly!

The one I have contains Cactus which prevents hair loss and repairs the hair shaft and makes the hair smooth and thick. It also contains Olive to strengthen the hair and Black Cumin to treat split ends.

It has the best combination of ingredients for me. I used to have a lot of split ends and now my tips are super healthy plus this oil seems to have the same effect as the coconut oil so that's great.

I have recently bought the same oil for my cousin, but when I compared my bottle and hers, I noticed hers contains Garger and Garlic instead of Olive and Black cumin, but it smells exactly the same.

Garger helps nourish the hair from root to tip and Garlic, along with other ingredients, helps control hair fall, so it will have pretty much the same effect.

Vatika has 2 more hair oil products in their range:
Almond hair oil                         and                         Olive hair oil

Dabur Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil is a premium oil which has a nourishment of almonds enriched with extra benefit of Hibiscus, Olives, Muskroot & other trusted herbs, to give you problem free beautiful hair.
Almonds help strengthen hair from root to tip, Hibiscus helps maintain color of hair & fights hairfall, Muskroot along with other ingredients help strengthen hair and Olive oil nourishes hair & restore luster to dull hair.

Dabur Vatika Olive Enriched Hair Oil contains Virgin Olive Oil and nourishing extracts of Almonds, Cactus and Lemon. Vatika's unique formulation ensures deeper oil penetration to give your hair and scalp complete nourishment for problem free, beautiful hair.
Almond coats, conditions and softens your hair, Cactus gives your hair volume and health and Lemon regulates sebum flow & helps keep dandruff away.

I strongly recommend one of these products to anyone with dry hair, split ends or any other hair care problems. It really helped my hair a lot!

Where can you find these products?
You can ofcourse buy a L'oreal hair oil for €10 or you can try one of these. I bought mine in Egypt, but I'm sure your local North-African, Middle Eastern shop will sell them as well.

I bought mine In Royaume de le Femme located at Abdijstraat 56-58 in Antwerp.

Price?
Depends on the size: going from €2 to €4,50 I think, so not expensive at all for a product that will do wonders for your hair!

What do you girls think about these products?
Would you like me to write about how I apply my oil?
